Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about using ConvertPDF. If something is not covered here, use the Contact page.
- Is ConvertPDF free?
- The tools on this site are offered free of charge for typical personal and business use. We may adjust availability or limits to keep the service reliable for everyone.
- Do I need an account?
- No account is required for the standard tools. You upload files, run the operation, and download the result.
- Which file types are supported?
- Each tool page lists accepted formats. Common examples include PDF for merge/split/rotate, JPG and PNG for images-to-PDF, and DOCX, XLSX, or PPTX for Office conversions.
- Are my files stored forever?
- No. Files are processed to complete your request and are not kept as a personal archive. See the Privacy policy for more detail.
- Why did my PDF not get much smaller after compress?
- Some PDFs are already optimized or mostly contain images that cannot be reduced without visible quality loss. Compression results vary by file.
- Can I use the tools on mobile?
- Yes, the site is responsive. Very large files may be harder to upload on slow mobile connections.
- The download failed — what should I try?
- Retry with a smaller file, a different browser, or a stable network. If the problem persists, contact us with the tool name and approximate file size (not the file itself).
