PDF is not only visible pages—it is a container. Viewers show page content, but file properties may still list authors, creation timestamps, editing software, and sometimes paths from the machine that exported the document.
Inspect properties locally first
Open File → Properties (or the equivalent) in a desktop reader before uploading anywhere sensitive. If you see organization names, initials, or temporary folders in paths, assume recipients with forensic curiosity can see them too.
